Need some answers asap! I am 38+3, I have light contractions, not sure if they are BH or real ones! I want to have a bath and all I think is what if my water breaks in the tub?Shock Anyone been through this? Will I know? I also feel a big pressure down there like the baby is pushing hard

Mine broke in the bath with DS 2 I think. I didn't realise and went to hospital saying they hadn't broken. I did say to DH that something was happening because my belly button went back in but it didn't cross my mind that it might be my waters Blush By the time he was born we realised that wasn't the case!

Mine went during labour but to me it felt like I'd popped a water balloon with my fanny Grinso I dont think I could have not realised Grin

Mine went while I was in bed and there was no mistaking it, but they did go with a wooosh! What I would say is that even after they went they kept coming out for ages afterwards, so you will probably know.

When my waters went I had gushes of fluid come out over a couple of hours....from what I can tell, it would be very rare to lose ALL your waters in one big gush! So unless you spend hours in the tub, if your waters do go you'll notice when you get out of the bath because the fluid just keeps coming! Hope this helps, good luck xx

Mine went in the bath. It was unmistakable. A popping and an immediate sense of pressure being released.
I spent most of the last month of my pregnancy in the bath. Enjoy it.

Mine went in the birthing pool just before I gave birth. There was a distinct 'pop' feeling and a release of pressure. So I reckon you'd feel them go. Also, they are a slightly yellow colour, so if you don't have any bubbles etc in the bath, I think you'd see them.

EsmesBees · 16/06/2017 22:22

Oh,.and good.luck OP!

AnaMaria88 · 16/06/2017 22:24

So no bubbles! Thank you!

Mine broke in the bath. Whooshing feeling and sort of muted pop sound. I definitely knew my waters broke.

Mine didn't go in the bath (induction ward I'm hospital) but there was a definite gush sensation plus lots of lovely pinkish mucous slimey stuff😷 so if it had of happened in a bath would have definitely have saw the lovely floating yuckiness!!
