Hi all
I'm 33 weeks pregnant and was in a lot of pain brought on by gallstone pain.
This led to having slight contractions and I had a swap that came back positive for Fetal fibronectin.
I've stopped contracting and have been sent home on bed rest.
Just wanted to know if this had happened to anyone else and did you carry to full term or did baby come early. I have been told by doctors I have a 25% chance of giving birth within the next two weeks.
I'm so worried and just wish I could see into the future to see what's gonna happen.
I've had 2 steroid injections for the baby's lungs and I'm basically gonna rest as much as I can now.
Any similar experiences?
Tia

Not quite the same but my 34 week baby was only in hospital for a week and is now a great big 6 year old with no health problems.
Good luck.

Thankyou that's reassuring, anyone else have anything similar happen?

I'm in a similar position to you but much earlier. Went in at 25+3 and they did the test which came back positive. I was told this meant there was a 50-60% chance I'd give birth within a week. Had the steroid injections and they kept in hospital for 5 days and then sent me home. They didn't tell me to rest though, instead they told me there was no reason not to go back to work. I panicked at this and the GP signed me off for 2 weeks which is almost coming to an end.

How long have you been told to rest for? Until baby is here? I've had so much conflicting advice I've got no idea what to do and what is best for baby.

That hasn't really answered your question but it's nice to know there are other people in the same boat!

I have been told to have two weeks rest, at the end of these two weeks I have a scan to check alls ok if he still hasn't come.
I've been told by the consultant no spicy food, no sex and no carrying shopping/exercise.
I've been getting braxton hicks on and off but so far so good.
Hope all goes well for you it is so scary I really feel for you x
