Just a quick survey really. The reason why I'm asking is because I'm unsure if my morning sickness counts as mild, medium or bad. Because I don't know how bad everyone else has it!

I'm 11+4 and throw up most mornings, again the afternoon (makes work so much more interesting…) and sometimes wake up around 3am with extreme nausea.

I'd say this is medium. I haven't been hospitalised and a lot of it is the horrible inside-out-feeling dry retching.

How sick has everyone else been?

I started being sick every morning from about 4 weeks. I felt nauseous pretty much all day and went right off food until about 16 weeks. We discovered it was twins at 13 weeks. I was sick between 1-3 times a day throughout my pregnancy. I was sick in the morning I gave birth at 34 weeks.

Mufferdoodle · 15/06/2017 18:53

I was sick up to 30 times a day until I was put on medication at about 12 weeks (after several admissions) after 12 weeks I was still sick most days. Sometimes only once but sometimes more. It lasted until about a week after birth. Don't suffer in silence though - there are plenty of options (drugs and others) to help x

Never once sick, but felt like I was dying such was the nausea. Not much of a puker tho. Never had a sick bug till I was 25. I still cant drink regular tea or coffee :(

Thissideof40 · 15/06/2017 21:21

I had sickness the whole way though my first pregnancy, all day every day. I could only eat bland food and had to stop the slightest hint of hunger in its tracks or I'd feel really sick.

With my second I had sickness up to about 14 weeks, then it stopped and cane back again around 36 weeks. It was all day every day too.

I don't know why they call it morning sickness as I'm sure most people feel it throughout the day.

I was sick multiple times a say and had nausea from week 6 to week 27. I ended up on stemetil at week 15. The only thing which prevented me being hospitalised at 10 weeks was i was able to keep water and then some dioralyte down. I managed to work through weeks 5 to 9 then was signed off for weeks 10 to 16 went back for a while but still with extreme nausea. The worst thing to puke was a croissant, so greasy...
I survived on san pellegrino water, sour patch sweets and frazzles. All make me queasy now. Dd is 3.5yrs and we're tt again. I am very anxious about the sickness being this bad again. It was a huge factor in developing ante natal depression.

I was only about 4 weeks when started feeling sick.. then feeling sick turned into getting sick, VERY sensitive to any sort of smells, if you brought me anywhere near the likes of an Indian meal with lots of different spices going on I'd vomit straight away.

Wasn't able to stomach much, felt sick until I ate then got sick after I ate, got sick on just liquids :( Was horrible..

Was getting sick maybe twice a day up until about 10 days ago, now it's just once every couple of days but feeling sick everyday.. not the nicest!

It comes randomly though.. if I drink certain drinks, the other day waiting for a train first time i'd left the house in days and voila... sick all over the station!! so embarassing.

lst pregnancy - sick most days, morning, noon and night and even the day after baby was born. Lived on satsumas
2nd pregnancy - sick for 7 months, respite months 5-7.No cravings.
Happily two healthy baby girls.

Brown blood is still coming 😑😒

pointythings · 16/06/2017 16:13

21 weeks both times. Not throwing up, but 24/7 very intense nausea. Very limited ability to tolerate food (plain carbs, tomato sauce, cheese, end of list). Not fun at all.

Lauralou031986 · 16/06/2017 17:44

Think I'm somewhere between 6-8 weeks I feel constantly hungry but feel sick at the same time, I haven't had a proper meal in over a week 🙁 I know women have it a lot worse but it still makes you miserable. Sweetyboo hope everything is ok?

itsonlysubterfuge · 16/06/2017 17:50

I was a bit different. I wasn't actually being sick, but I couldn't stand the smell of anything. Everything made me feel so nauseous. Washing powder, perfume, toothpaste, pasta, bread, fruit, veg, everything. I barely ate anything for weeks and I was starving all the time. When I actually ate food, it took me ages to eat it. For example 1 hour to eat half a jacket potato. It was so hard to force myself to eat something. Not only that, but just the thought of eating or smell of food was enough to turn my stomach. However, I wasn't actually being sick, so I was fine. I finally started eating around 22 weeks.

I feel like mine was really bad because I felt so horrible, but because I wasn't actually sick all day, I don't know if I even classify as having morning sickness.

Lauralou031986 · 16/06/2017 18:28

Oh god I'm the same takes me ages to even eat weetabix, I feel like mines more hunger related than anything, just want to start enjoying things and not feeling so crappy

Catra · 17/06/2017 10:00

I'm 7 weeks here. I haven't felt the urge to throw up yet and I don't feel particularly nauseous although I am extremely dizzy and have blacked out a few times this week. I didn't realise until recently that this is actually a form of morning sickness. I'm not off my food at all yet - in fact I'm ravenous all the time.

MoodyOne · 17/06/2017 10:08

I felt nauseous all the way through 😢

Lemondrop99 · 17/06/2017 10:18

Mine was horrendous up until Week 16, still pretty bad until Week 20, still kicking around until Week 24. I've been on medication and only just managed to cut down. Now, at Week 24, it seems to finally be passing (although I'm still nauseous and it tends to come and go so I wouldn't be surprised if it returns!)

Heatherbaby · 17/06/2017 13:37

Ah morning sickness. It needs renaming for a start.

Mine was unbearable nausea and being sick 3 to 4 times daily from 6 to 18 weeks
Same as others I couldn't stand the smell of a lot of ordinary household things and aversion to most foods. I didn't lose much weight and wasn't hospitalised.

Had a respite from 18 to 28 weeks with mild nausea and occasional morning sick. Currently 32 weeks and occasional random nausea and vomiting.

I laugh at how I naively counted down from 6 weeks to 12 thinking it would magically go away as the internet promised me.

Feel for everyone who gets this. As others have said, mine was worse if my stomach got empty so best to eat small snacks and drink sips of water throughout the day.

Best wishes for your pregnancies xxx
