Hi there.
I've started a thread on OC as I was diagnosed with a severe case last week.
I'm almost 33w & see the consultant next week to discuss induction.
How far gone are you?

jessicajaine01 · 12/06/2017 17:58

I must not have searched properly! Im 26 weeks was diagnosed around 18 weeks. It was all under control and last week my bil acids rocketed to 180+ and my alts were 353! Docs think i have an underlying liver condition as my levels were slightly raised before pregnancy. Been quite ill with this how have you been finding it ??

kizzle · 12/06/2017 18:13

Oh wow. At least they're taking care of you though.
They only found out last week when my blood test came back as abnormal.
Been put on urso acid tablets to try and reduce the levels - plus antihistamines & aqueous cream to help the itching as it's been driving me mad! 🙈
Had no problems otherwise whatsoever.
I've been feeling fine, I don't feel any different. Just more tired then normal but I've put that down to being 33 weeks! 😴
Do you know when you're going to be induced?

jessicajaine01 · 13/06/2017 07:56

I think mine have been so high its just making me ill! They said 37 weeks but mentioned 32 if things stay bad. What about you??

kizzle · 13/06/2017 08:27

Oh bless you, sorry to hear it's been making you poorly.
They've said 37 but some consultants like to induce at 35 weeks in severe cases. I find out a week tomorrow when!

jessicajaine01 · 13/06/2017 08:41

Good luck with everything :) xx

kizzle · 13/06/2017 09:11

And you x

jessicajaine01 · 26/06/2017 19:10

Hiya did you have any news when you're going to be induced? My Bile acids have come down to 140 and my ALTs at 150 now ! xx

SummerMummy2be · 26/06/2017 20:34

My consultant appointment was cancelled and rescheduled for 4th July! I'm hoping I get a date then!!
I've been taken in three times this week with bleeding & contractions. Just found out I've got thrush and a trace of strep b has been found aswell.
Like I haven't got enough going on!

So hopefully I make it to 37 weeks! I'll be 35 weeks on Wednesday. X

Hannano1990 · 26/06/2017 20:44

I really feel for you! I had it with my DS and I was induced at 37 weeks with him.
I'm 12 weeks currently and I'm so nervous it's going to return. Just a waiting game really.

Good luck with everything! Xx

SummerMummy2be · 26/06/2017 20:58

Was everything ok being induced 3 weeks early?
This is my first baby so not exactly sure what to expect!
I've got a growth scan tomorrow to get an estimated weight! X

Hannano1990 · 26/06/2017 22:18

Yeah absolutely fine. It's classed as full term which is good! It took a good few days to get me going. I obviously was no where near ready. DS was very comfortable and I ended up needing a CS. I'm almost certain I would have gone well over 40 weeks had it not been for intervention.

As a side note, my sister little girl was born st 34 and a half weeks. She was tiny but absolutly fine. She only had to stay in for 3 days. Modern medicine is absolutly fantastic and I'm sure they will get you as far as they can. Try not to stress too much. Sending big hugs.

SummerMummy2be · 27/06/2017 07:39

That's great.
I have a growth scan and consultant appt this afternoon so hopefully I get my date today!
I've read how inductions can vary so much. My youngest sister had 2 inductions with both of her babies and were so very different!

I'll just take it all in my stride ☺️

Hannano1990 · 27/06/2017 11:47

That's the best thing you can do. Unfortunately, things get taken out of our hands but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy it the best we can. It may just mean you get to see your baby earlier than planned.
I hope your growth scan goes well. I was relatively lucky. We had a growth scan around 34 weeks to check on my boys size and he was quite a chunky boy. He was born 7lb 15oz so a brilliant weight.
I am hoping I miss colistasis this time, but my MW told me it's unlikely.
Keep us updated! I hope it all goes well for you x

SummerMummy2be · 27/06/2017 15:00

Just got home from my growth scan - the baby has now fallen off the centile chart and measuring rather small - 4lb 9oz and it should be around 5lb 2oz now based on my height & BMI etc.
Haven't got a date yet, I've got an appointment on the 4th to hopefully get one! X

Hannano1990 · 27/06/2017 16:30

Oh dear. Obviously not what you were expecting. Try and stay positive. I know it must be hard. Fingers crossed you'll still have atleast couple more weeks to grow xx
