Pregnancy after Thyroid Cancer

Hi All, in 2015 I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer, I had two lots of surgery having tumours removed and had my full Thyroid removed, I then had Radio-iodine last year to treat the rest of the Cancer, we was given the all clear and after months of trying we finally caught and I'm now currently 27 weeks pregnant.

This is our second pregnancy and this time round is very different, I'm having my having my bloods checked every four weeks and having extra scans to make sure the baby is okay, touch wood everything is going well so far, my only concern is that my Lethothyroxine dose is being changed nearly every 5 weeks, at the moment they are more concerned about the baby rather than me which is understanding but making me feel poorly, they are worried about the baby getting too much thyroxine so adjusting my dose for that reason.

Due to complications with my last delivery I'm due to have a csection this time round under general anesetic, we haven't discussed dates yet but I'm just wondering if anyone has been through the same and could give my any advice, or if you have had a csection under general I would love to know your experience as I don't know anyone that has had one under general.

Rachel
