Low placenta

In my 20 wk scan I was informed I have a low placenta. In my notes it says posterior placenta which appears to occlude the internal os. The lady that performed my scan said that this is probably why I haven't felt the baby move as much and to re scan at 34 wks. I'm now 23 weeks and constantly feel my little one move and lately more so really low. Does this mean my placenta has moved ? Or even more so is it likely to move? This is my 4th baby 5th pregnancy, previous 3 deliveries were normal vaginal births. I really do not want a c-section due to my other responsibilities. Any advice will be appreciated

Have you been told you'll need a scan later on to see if it has moved? Mine was low at 20 weeks scan but had been pulled up by 34 weeks. Something in the region of 90% do get pulled up.

Thank you for you're reply. She did say not to google it but obviously I have I believe the part 'occlude internal os' is the worst part? Does that mean my placenta is completely covering my cervix? Also I have felt many more movements since with a lot of them being low at night is that a sign of movement possibly. Or am I wishful thinking? I have to go back at 34 weeks for another scan.

There is no way to know if the placenta has moved without a further scan. To be honest I'd say it's pretty unlikely that it will have moved significantly in 3 weeks.

My placenta was low at 20 weeks but had moved out of the way by 34 weeks. Most do move so you've probably got a good chance that it will.

I would give your midwife a call and ask her to explain it all to you. I did find that the sonographer sort of landed it on me, handed me a leaflet and then left me to it!

I had exactly the same but had an extra scan at 30 weeks which showed it had moved and I could have the delivery I wanted.

That's how I felt the lady just said you have such and such and we will rebook you for another scan at 34 weeks but back then it was 6 weeks until my next midwife appointment. Seems long long breaks between midwife appointments now!!! Fingers crossed
