35 weeks and head down

I'm 35 weeks tomorrow and baby has been head down since 30 weeks, at my last midwife appointment she said it's head is right down and unlikely it will move now... I've been getting a lot of pressure/light pains and also lower back ache (I do get a bad back every now and again), with it being head down from so early is it likely it will decide to arrive early?! Or is the pressure and achy-ness just one of those things & wishful thinking to think it won't be too long ?! X

Is this your first? My ds was engaged from about 34 weeks but went 2 weeks overdue, I think it's quite common in first babies that they'll go head down, possibly engaged, then hang around for a while.. sorry not what you wanted to hear!

It doesn't mean anything I'm afraid, not unusual at all to be in that position at 35 weeks.

Doesn't mean much I'm afraid. Third baby here and all of mine have been head down from 22-26 weeks till birth. It's to do with the shape of my uterus and my body, it's apparently the most comfortable position. A good position to pick though I might add👍 but pressure can be fierce alright.

Yep definitely not what I wanted to hear!
I was thinking it was brilliant and I was really l lucky how soon it had flipped round! Thanks everyone Flowers

mine's been head down since 28 weeks, but only today at 36+3 does it feel like bean has moved down a bit.
And I don't think arrival is imminent sadly (also my first)

DD was head down from 20 weeks and stayed there solidly until she was born. I was induced at 38 weeks but doubt she would've come early if she wasn't forcibly evicted!
