Morning sickness woes

Hi everyone. I'm just over 6 weeks pregnant with baby #1. I'm never ever sick (and can't stand anyone else being sick!). Morning sickness is the thing I've been dreading most and have been convincing myself not everyone gets it etc etc. in an optimistic hope it would never arrive!

I've been quite nauseous and off food in general for about a week and got up this morning and knew it was different. I haven't been sick, but just keep retching - just opening the fridge set it off!

I'm lucky that I have a job where I am able to work from home on occasion. However, I have meetings tomorrow and am worried that 'the cat will be out of the bag'. Does morning sickness get worse? Or does it just continue the way it starts? Really don't want to be running out of meetings!

I'm 9+3 and my nausea has been pretty bad for the past 4 weeks. No actual vomiting though. I find the commute into work difficult but it settles when I sit down at my desk. Make sure you eat little and often (if you can) as that helps. I have to eat something straight away when I wake up or I feel dreadful. Find foods that you can stomach - I was alright until about 2 weeks ago and now my usual foods (veg/fish) are turning my stomach. Simple carbs seem to be best.

My friends all say it gets better at 12-14 weeks and I'm praying it does! Good luck and hope you feel better.
