looks like i'm gonna be bra shopping sooner than expected. i'm only 6 weeks preggy and already i have watermelons rather than the honeydews they once were!

Lucky DP!! I went from a 36B up to a 44I (didn't even though they did an I!!) and all the way down to a 36DD as they are now... DH had a permanent grin on his face apart from when they squirted him through both pregnancies!!

misdee · 10/07/2004 00:31

well i was an E cup already. gonna have to try evans for larger supporting non-wired bras.

Misdee,

Mine got all sore and ouchy, and grew loads in the first 8 weeks, but since then they've remained the same size but hurt a lot less. I hope it's the same for you

M&S does a very nice - well, nice isn't the word but VERY comfortable and supportive over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder without wires. Wore them throughout both pregs. Think they go up to an H so you're OK for now.

hana · 10/07/2004 12:30

at about 7 weeks I went up a cup.....from an AA to A. I love the difference!! And what a difference when you've got very little to a little something!

misdee · 10/07/2004 12:41

i have a look in there later. must get measured properly.

I was the same, shot up from 34C to 38D at 8 weeks but things have settled down to a 38DD for most of my pregnancy. Don't think I needed the 38 as I'm still on the second last hooks.

Lupe · 10/07/2004 15:41

No point splashing out too much yet Misdee - mine seemed to be on a weekly mission to expand but then, like Sweetkitty, they settled down for last 3 or 4 months (actually I don't remember, but I've been a 38 d/dd for ages now and I started at 34 d.

Thought I was gonna end up in the 40s

38DD sounds really big but they don't look that big in comparison to the bump underneath!

poppyseed · 10/07/2004 16:52

I can recommend M&S for fitting service, advice and styles for maternity bras and feeding bras - well, ours was fab. Have just finished feeding DS(14months) and have now progressed into their normal bras - wow don't things change in 2 years!!

webmum · 10/07/2004 17:06

misdee

don't buy too many as they may still grow.
M ine seems to have settled now at 23 weeks, but have been throiugh 3 different sizes since I got pregnant (thats about 6 new bras!!!!!)

Congratulations!!!!

poppyseed · 10/07/2004 17:08

Got a feeling M&S say come back for a remeasure every 6 weeks - but they would wouldn't they!!?

Bibiboo · 12/07/2004 18:32

Don't mean to sound like a grouch, but M&S measure me all wrong! Maybe it was just my local stores but they measured me as a 42DD (cue DH grinning excitedly) in one shop and a 38D in another - don't know how they got those measurements! I'm more like a 40C, so none of the bras they recommended were right. I found my local underwear shop (little boutique type place) was much better and gave more advice - although were more expensive and lady gave mea telling off for wearig underwires!!!

jolly4 · 12/07/2004 18:33

well i am 7 weeks 4 days an i av gone from 38d too 38f cant imagine how big at the end

sam27 · 12/07/2004 18:49

Hi I had to get my bras from bravissimo as I went to L cup. Only place I could find that did nursing bras big enough! I still wear them as sleep bras so they obviously haven't gone down much!!
