Will C section help prevent prolapse

I had a prolapse after having DD1. It's ok now and I'm 20 weeks pregnant with baby number 2. Will it happen again when I start pushing?!

Prolapses run in my family and my mum has recently had some major health problems relating to a corrective op she had

Im wondering if I should to to get a C-section to try and prevent further damage or it reoccurring, or does this not make a difference?

I've asked the doctors but they just tell me to do pelvic floor exercises and won't give me an answer...hmmm

OP posts:

There's a high chance that the weight of the pregnancy will cause you to prolapse again anyway, so unless there are other considerations I personally wouldn't have a c section just for that reason!
