Hi all, OH is celebrating a milestone birthday in January and I wanted to take him away - probably a long weekend to a European city. We will have a 4 month old by then and was just wondering whether anyone could recommend a child friendly destination for that time of year? Thanks!

Don't know about destination but we travelled UK to Australia with our 4 month old and it was a really good age for travelling.

They feed/sleep on the plane, if you have a baby carrier they're really easily transportable and they nap a lot.

You could go anywhere really!

Do you want warm? If so, I'd recommend the Canaries. It will be around 21-24 degrees, so not too hot with a LO, a 4-hour flight, which is fine with such a small baby, and it's European and familiar when you get there. We love the Canaries in Jan it's so lovely to wake up to sunshine.

Also meant to say - most European cities will be cold in Jan. Marbella or Seville will probably be bright and sunny, but I'd go further to get a bit of warmth, if it were me.

Not from personal experience, but I went to Seville in March and was amazed by how child friendly it was, lots of tourists and locals pushing prams around with no bother and plenty of babies and children sleeping in prams at dinner. We were lucky and it was 29c but the average is 21c for that time of year. It's a great place to sit outside and people watch.

By contrast, I went to Paris in April and that didn't seem as easy to navigate with a pram.

Funnily enough, about 50% of people in Seville had bugaboos and 50% of people in Paris had Babyzen Yo-yos!
