Poor immune system?

Starting new month and I'm once again getting head cold again, had blocked nose, sneezing etc every month since being pregnant.

Never experienced this with my daughters, pregnant with baby boy and immunes been so bad 😞

Have you tried pregnacare? It's got all the vitamins in it for pregnancy. Might help taking it daily as it sounds like your body is run down from all the work it's doing x

Jeeeez I'm exactly the same if it's not cough and runny nose then it's kidney infection and feeling really sick all the time :( I'm having my gender scan next week. Was never like that with my dd so wondering if it's now a boy and whether gender has anything to do with that at all xxx

I have a daughter I had 2 chest infections, several viruses and a water infection while I was pregnant.

It's nothing to do with the sex of the baby, your immune system is naturally suppressed during pregnancy so that you don't reject the foreign DNA from the babies father.

As unpleasant as this may sound your bab is literally a parasite growing in your body. To ensure your body does not reject it your body has to lower it's immune response.

I was just about to write what Heirhelp said, your body dampens down your immune system so you don't reject the baby. It's nothing to do with the gender of baby.

It's a nightmare. Been taking vitamins for few months now. Roll on October to try feel half human again.

Bless you I'm hating this 2nd pregnancy too, I've had a horrible headache, not intense but there niggling constantly making me feel fed up and in pain at night. I'm struggling to sleep and feel really blocked up in my sinuses. Fed up and worried I've other complications to fret about. Plus I'm huge due to an added fibroid the size of a melon growing inside me so I keep getting ooh your are massive and is due soon comments.

Been up since 4am this morning as loaded with cold again 🤦🏼‍♀️.

Immune system is suppressed when you're Preggers. Maybe you just got lucky last pregnancy.

It's a nightmare. I was fine(ish) with my first son but with my second (gave birth a month ago), I caught everything going. Once you already have children I think you're also exposed to a lot more things.

Was finally feeling a bit better from very bad morning sickness around 20 weeks and then had one awful illness after another: loads of colds, sinusitis, tonsillitis, norovirus, staph infection in nose, etc etc for second half of pregnancy.

It is shit. All I can say is that I feel amazing now (even though hardly getting any sleep and still recovering from c-section) and appreciate it SO much.

Think I did lljkk. I can't wait till baby is here to feel better, don't have much chance with one at school and one at nursery so catching everything just now.

Ah the joys, wish I could taste food 😫
