Breakfast?

I need some tips/suggestions for breakfasts.

I know it's bad of me, but I have never been able to stomach breakfast first thing on a morning besides a cup of tea. My usual (workday) routine is get up 6.45 have a cup of tea while I get ready, leave the house at 7.30 and I'll have a small breakfast like a smoothie, slice of toast, cereal bar etc at work with another cuppa at around 9am. I don't know why, but I have always been that way. The thought of eating on a morning just doesn't do it for me.

Of course now, I really really need to eat something on a morning. I've switched my morning cuppa at home for a glass of orange juice so my work mates don't get suspicious about the lack of tea drinking at work, I just need some ideas on what I could try eating first thing on a morning that won't make me feel queasier than I already am?

I think toast might be a bit much. A banana maybe?

Anyone else really not a breakfast person and had to adapt?

My go to through the first trimester of both pregnancies was breakfast bar type things, particularly Nakd bars as they weren't too sugary, and a banana or apple.
It was enough to stop me feeling unwell until about mid morning but not so much it made me sick to eat.

Once sickness calmed down, I found I could easily put away a bowl of cereal, fruit and toast or a bagel before 10am. Currently at 17 weeks with my second and can't get enough food into myself.

Why do you need to start eating breakfast now, are you nauseous if you don't? Try a banana or even half a slice of toast, or a boiled egg, some oatcakes with something on them, a yoghurt?

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll give them a go!

Generally at the moment my nausea doesn't kick in til mid morning, but I know breakfast is supposed to be the most important meal of the day so they say, So I just feel for our health I should really try to have at least a small snack.

If you don't want breakfast you don't have to force feed yourself it just because you're pregnant. Some people like breakfast others don't, it doesn't matter once someone's overall diet is good (pregnant or otherwise).
