bleeding while pregnant

Hello everyone.. right so I'm new to this all but I'm actually worried.... so on Sunday 29th May 17 I started a light bleed so I thought it was due to me and my partner having intercourse, the day after I got a more Dark red blood when I wiped... This made me pick so I went to the E.R anyway they ended up sending me home with anti sickness after I told them what had been happening... I then went back the next day again as it was getting heavier so at this time I demanded I was not moving until they checked me over. They had done an examination about 20 mins after being back at the E.R they examined me and said my cervix was closed and that the bloods a mystery. So the following day I had a scan baby had seemed to have been happy and had a strong heartbeat. Today however has been a nightmare, the cramping has started and I'm bleeding as if I was having a period. But NO clots??? I'm so worried and so confused I don't know what to do as I don't want to keep going back to the E.R if there just going to keep sending me home. I rang my midwife yesterday and she stated if it got worse to then go back to the E.R.... I just don't want them to send me home I don't feel myself I feel something is wrong.

Oh unicorn I am so sorry. It's all very stressful.
Do you have an early pregnancy unit at your hospital? I would try and get seen there, ER sound like they have been less then useless so far for you.
How far along are you?
I have been having bleeds regularly since 5 wks. Now 10.5 wks, last seen baby on scan at 9+2 and everything was perfect. They were able to find reasons for the bleeding at that scan though so that has been helpful in trying to stay calm.
When I ring the epu they ask loads of questions about amount of blood, colour and if I have had to take painkillers. That seems to be how they assess how urgent you are. They also ask loads about symptoms.

Hi unicorn. Bleeding can mean different things, sometimes it can be a bad sign but sometimes it happens and there's no reason for it. To give you some hope I bled terribly between 6-7 weeks. Very heavy red bleeds with huge clots. Three scans later baby is still doing well and they just couldn't explain it. I would agree with your midwife that if it continues or gets worse go back for another scan. I totally understand how scary it is so sending you massive hugs x

No clots is good.
Just to add bleeding in pregnancy is more common then anyone ever says. At least 25% of all pregnancies.
My worst bleed was at 8 wks and the nurse at epu said it could be due to hormone fluctuations around what would have been a period time.

I'm only 8 weeks and 4 days so still early I did speak with my midwife and she also said my hcg levels were through the roof .. so I'm assuming that's a good thing right? I just want to chill out as much as I can it is probably nothing but my anxiety says different 😯 x

I am so sorry you are going through this. I had the same with ds. I bled pretty much from 7 to 13 weeks. Mostly light but some heavier bleeds and some clots!

Early scans showed the bleed was not from the part of my uterus where ds was. The best the epu could offer was sometimes this happens as long as it is not near the baby it's fine. It was fine (although hideously stressful) and ds is 6 now.

I had this too- DD is 3 now so she stuck in there! It stopped around 13 wks

I'm not loosing hope it's just I haven't ever had this with my 2 boys ... hopefully the bleeding stops just want to feel back to normal... Thank you all xxx
