I am nearly 7 weeks pregnant and feel ghastly...constant nausea that nothing helps and feeling very weak as not eating much, although I am trying to drink plenty.
I am also (sorry about this!) pooing a lot, sometimes 3 times a day. This is very unusual for me, as I have IBS and tend towards constipation most of the time. Its not diahorrea (sp?) just a need to go a lot and terrible flatulence!!!
Was wondering if anyone else had this in their pregnancy? Its 5 years since my last but I am sure I didnt feel this bad so early on.
Thanks....and sorry if TMI

Becaroo, you've made my day. Being technologically ignorant I can't fathom how to start a thread but you have said EXACTLY what I want to say. (Minus the IBS stuff - though I do have the squits!)

Sorry to do the self pity bit but I feel like sh*t!! Last time I was pregnant I had twins and it never felt this bad.

In the past I've said to friend (oh ground swallow me up for talking such twaddle) "Look on the bright side, at least that baby's definately there". What an idiot I've been.

The worst thing is no one knows I'm pregnant as even though it's my second pregnancy I still feel it's a bit too soon to say. Have you told anyone?

Maybe our similar symptoms will produce people of similar temprament, thus proving, that there is something in star signs.

Something spooky, the due date of my bump is the birthday of my dd's.

I'm thinking this makes for BIG birthday celebrations if bump pulls it off!

Hi becaroo, I also have IBS. This is my 3rd baby and it's definitely been the worst pregnancy so far, sickness and IBS wise. It's definitely affecting my guts... I seem to be a bit better these days, am 13 weeks tomorrow. But it's been a rough one this time.

I really hope you're feeling better soon

We have only told our parents, but only because I have felt so ill and look so awful people keep commenting on it!
Feeling very low today, just spent the afternoon in bed with bucket by the bed in case.
Its my ds first swimming lesson in about 45 mins and just trying to gather up enough strength the go.
Sorry to sound so pathetic but really want prepared for feeling quite so awful!
Any tips for ms that work?

similar experience for me up to about 8 weeks...just awful, whereas first had been much more pleasant. at 8 weeks I was advised to change my pre natal supplements. And that made all the difference. I kind of suspected it might have been them because I used to wretch at the thought of taking them. Lots of little snacks helped too...carrots and the healthy stuff. The junk felt good momentarily and would then end up making me feel much much worse.
