New to all this...

Anyway had my 20 week scan and at time had a lot on my mind as was concentrating on images on screen.

But I clearly remember feeling heat on my skin where the probe slided across belly. I didn't ask at the time but am now worried perhpas machine was set "too high" or wrongly?

Anyone else experience heat? Everywhere I read up says you should feel NOTHING except pressure on bladder or cool gel!

Thanks and any feedback mnuch appreciated!!

When I had mine the sonographer said the gel would feel warm, so I think it's normal. (she said they no longer use the cold gel @ my hospital) HTH

A lot of places use warmed gel so it does feel kinda warm when they press the probe down. The waves they use to pick up images with the ultrascan do not emit (sp?) any kind of heat that you would feel so I would not worry.
