You are heading for the second trimester when a lot of people's pg symptoms drop off so it's quite possible that it is nothing to worry about. When are you due? There are both October and November antenatal threads going, if you're interested...

candylion · 16/03/2007 11:50

thanks for this - i am due mid october so will have a look

Hi candylion. All my symptoms were similar to yours, and disappeared at about the same time too. In fact, when I went for my scan I discovered that I was a week ahead of where I thought I was (i.e. I was 12, rather than 11 weeks). Could be the case with you too...

Same here at 9 weeks and all was fine.

lins1uk · 16/03/2007 21:33

i didnt really have sore boobs either with this pregnancy in first trimester and was also a little worried but every pregnancy is diffrent hun so wouldnt worry to much.
some days you feel like rubbish some you feel great thats pregnancy for you!

candylion · 17/03/2007 00:33

thanks so much. my first time on here. you have put my mind at rest somewhat.
also - my last period was jan 1st - had a letter through to go for my first antenatal with the midwife at my local doctors on april 11th. so presumably won't have a scan until maybe a week later. seems like a long wait. i may be 14 weeks by then? does this sound normal? thanks

I think that's normal at this time of year, I had my first scan at 14 weeks because the hospital is so busy at the mo (lots of Christmas babies!), and I only met the midwife on Thursday, at 17 weeks!

It's all a bit overwhelming and easy to worry about the baby but everyone has different symptoms, so try not to worry too much. I was paranoid the first few months but you will get used to how your body feels - and be thankful for the lack of sickness!

thanks. i actually had another letter through yesterday and my scan in in a couple of weeks so all good. yeah this pregnancy business is a minefield for a professional worrier like me!

Wow, I'm so glad I came on this site! I have been having the exact same panic - sore boobs disappeared, waves of nausea diminishing... all in all feeling less traditionally 'pregnant' than I did earlier on. I'm 11 weeks and have been endlessly worrying that something had gone wrong. But reading all your messages makes me feel a little bit more normal and hopeful! My first scan is a week today. So nervous but I can't wait at the same time! By the way candylion, sounds like I'm due same time as you - my last period was jan 1st too. Makes it easy to remember eh?

candylion · 19/03/2007 20:03

hey little bear
it is great isn't it? i only just started looking myself. it so horrible all the worrying! my scan is in a couple of weeks.
hope it is all ok for you. lets keep in touch.
how did you calculate 11 weeks then? i am v confused.

LittleBear76 · 19/03/2007 20:19

Well, I was told by my doctor when I first went to her that you count the number of weeks from the date of your last period rather than actual ovulation / conception. And she told me when I went that I was 5 weeks and 3 days, or whatever it was, and since then I've just been counting forward from there. Apparently overall pregnancy length is only 38 weeks from conception, 40 from last period. How far along have you been thinking you are then? It is all a bit confusing isn't it?! I like being able to compare notes and confusions though!

LittleBear76 · 26/03/2007 20:38

Just a follow up to my previous posts. Went for my first scan today and so far, so good. Saw head, legs, arms, and little pulsing heart beating away. Phew. I hope everyone else is getting on OK. Candylion, how you getting on?

Eaglebird · 01/04/2007 19:23

So glad I found this thread.

I'm 10+4 and my boobs have recently seemed less swollen and not as sore as they were. They were never big to start with, and hadn't really got much bigger since I found I was pg. I was a bit gutted as I was looking forward to having an impressive cleavage for once in my life
However, my nipples still look slightly bigger darker and 'bumpier' than they did before, so that's reassuring I guess?
I had a scan at 7 weeks after some spotting, and all was well then, which was a huge relief. Can't wait for my 12 week scan to put my mind at rest again.
