Hi, can I get my hair dyed when pregnant? Getting conflicting messages. Normally get low / high lights with toner at hairdressers. Thanks in advance x

Yes!

Yep, I dyed my own hair whilst pregnant

Yes

Nhs says it's ok. Dye may not take as well so results can be unpredictable.

muffinwaggon · 23/05/2017 00:45

Yeah, I did my own hair. Use Olia (think that's how you spell it) hair dye, apparently it's better or something while you're pregnant. Xx

I had read that you should avoid for the first 12 weeks as the fumes might affect early development? Not sure what the evidence is on that though. I just had mine done at 37 weeks though and apart from needing to pee 15 times during the appointment it was fine :)
