Hi all, I hope it's okay to start a new thread!

I recently got my BFP after almost 1 year off TTC. I was referres to EPU for suspected ectopic, but after a follow up scan this week, this has fortunately been ruled out.

The sonographer found a gestational sac and yolk measuring 4x6x4mm, and I have been referred back to my gp to proceed aa normal.

HOWEVER, since coming off the pill last year, I've only had 1 period, which was in Jan. So I have no idea how many weeks I am; and no one so far has given me any indication!

I was wondering whether any one else is in a similar situation, and whether anyone knows how I can calculate how many weeks I am and when my due date will be??

Thank you - sorry for the word vomit! GrinBlushFlowers

Congratulations Smile

I had this. The midwife insisted on going by the first day of my last period, even though I knew that would be way off. So we had a scan quite soon as she thought I was much further along, and we told the sonographer we thought the EDD was way off and could he tell us how many weeks based on size. (Was worried that if he believed the official EDD he'd have told us 'So sorry, the baby must have stopped growing' or something when all was actually fine.) The sonographer then gave us a new EDD after measuring the fetus. I can't remember what size indicated how many weeks though... Hope someone knowledgeable will be along soon, or otherwise maybe ask midwife/sonographer?

The calculation can be done by measuring the foetus during a scan.

Sounds similar in size and structure (couldn't think of a better word) to the scan I had at 5-6 weeks.

So a sack without a heartbeat will make you around 5 weeks. You'll get a more accurate estimate when you have your dating scan.

Thank you everyone! I had thought around 5 weeks, but I wanted someone than Mr. Google to give me an insight! I'm off to see my GP on Monday to be referred to the midwife, so hopefully I will start to know more over the next few weeks! Xx
