Hi,

I'm 29weeks & 5 days. Today my stomach has been really tight and it hurts me to sit forward, bend down or even stand for a while. I had trouble sleeping last night even with my pregnancy pillow it hurt to get into and out of bed.

Has anyone had this & any idea on how to soothe it? It's so uncomfortable.

Sounds like it might be Braxton Hicks

And just having less room internally for sitting/ bending etc

i'm 27+3 and get this depending on where baby decides to sit. I think sometimes he likes to sit across the bottom of my uterus and this makes my stomach really hard.

Also getting braxtons but this makes the whole of my stomach really hard and tends to make me need the toilet!

At my antenatal course today this got mentioned as a couple women were suffering with constant tight tummies and the midwife said it can be do to your uterus ligaments having not been stretched evenly. It's nothing to worry about. She just said it caused by bad posture when sitting. She told us to ensure we are sitting in a "neutral" position at minimum which is where your knees are level with your hip. If possible sit with them lower than your hip. Unfortunately for most of us our office chairs, car seats and sofas are all made to sink our bums down and cause us to lean back. Hope this has kinda made sense!
