Hi all,

I'm completely new to all this and I don't know the lingo yet but I'm battling with stress and nerves about this. I am supposed to be just over 6 weeks pregnant according to my GP although the test says 2-3. I didnt realise I was pregnant because I had spotting about 2 weeks ago and only got suspicious a week ago when it never amounted to a period. Went to GP after positive pregnancy test and she sent me for a scan which showed nothing Sad. I was asked to give a blood sample on the 16th and my hormones were at 569 then again on the 18th and she called this morning to say they went up by 50% but not the desired 60%. I have another blood test to do on Saturday and a scan on Tuesday. I'm not feeling sick but my breasts are tender. I'm not having any cramps or pains. I'm at such a loss of how to feel right now and what to expect. Any advice would be most appreciated.
Thank you!

Did you get your blood test today @peacepuffin? Hope it was positive Flowers

Sorry you're going through this OP. The first few weeks of pregnancy is such an anxious time. Flowers

Meant to say - the clear blue tests say 2-3 weeks, but that's since ovulation. It's not 2-3 weeks pregnant as they work that out from the first day of your last period. Don't worry too much about that.

Sounds like a similar situation to me a couple of years ago. I went for scans when 4-5weeks pregnant (so 2-3), though doctor insisted I was six based on last Af (I have long cycles so knew this was wrong).
First scan showed nothing. I also had the bloods though my hcg did double. A scan a week later showed little baby with heartbeat etc and while bleeding continued to 10 weeks all was so fine and she's about to be two.
The first scan was simply too early to pick anything up. I do sympathise op, it's a horrible time. Xx

That's should read 2-3 on digital test

If you think you're 6 weeks, you should see quite a bit. I went for a scan this week and the embryo / foetus was measuring 5+6 and there was a heartbeat. Are you being monitored for pregnancy of unknown location?

Hi all. Thank you for your replies. Unfortunately my pregnancy has had an unhappy ending. SadI went in today for a third blood test and my hormones had only risen by24%. I should have been far enough along now to see something on my scan but nothing aside from a small amount of fluid in my right tube. The doctors diagnosed it as a pregnancy of unknown location and said that I required medical management and gave me an injection to clear it away. I was told this was a possibility but it was still devastating as this was my first pregnancy. I'm heartbroken but my partner is very supportive and we plan on trying again in 3 months when it is safe for me to do so. Thank you for your support.

So sorry Flowers

Oh Peace it's rubbish. I got pregnant first month of trying and ended up in miscarriage about 6/7 weeks. It turns the whole let's start trying process from exciting and fun to scary and anxiety ridden doesn't it? Good luck for future trying Flowers
