OK I had a 2nd sweep yesterday (damn sight more effective than the first one). Immediately afterwards I had a show (I bled). Then about 7pm last night I had another show. This time it was all mucus but very red and brown. Had another one this morning. OK so the "plug" has definitely come out cos there was loads of it. Reassured that the midwife says nothing to worry about. But does this mean it's imminent or might I still have a couple of weeks to go? (was due yesterday)

I was 5 days with DD after my show, but never had one with DS!! I think that they say up to 14 days after don't they? Good luck

oh pants - could be ages yet then. 2 midwives have now said they expect to see me in the next few hours and both have been wrong.

have been wearing TENS machine electrodes since Sunday. DP took one off but it hurt loads and I only have two spares so am leaving the others on until I need them. means I can't have a proper shower or bath and look like I am an extra from The Matrix but then that is the living day-by-day existance of the overdue woman
