Would you bother with a double?

Hey,

I am currently pregnant with my second child and wondering whether to get a pushchair that goes into a tandem. My son will be 3 when my baby is born towards the end of year.
I thought I would be ok with a buggyboard but I'm unsure if I should have a pushchair that I can add a second seat as a back up. Thoughts please x

just to say I know someone who had an icandy and it wasn't big enough for her older child by the time her second was born. Roughly same gap.

I bought a cheap second hand tandem double and used it occasionally. I resold it for same price i had paid on ebay. I used a buggy board and my pram most of the time but at least I had the option.

Definitely just wait until baby is here and you'll soon know. You can buy a new buggy online and have within a couple of days. Friends convinced me I wouldn't need one but their toddlers hadn't napped in the buggy since they were babies and mine still does so that makes a big difference I think. I've done the sling/buggy combo too which is fine for a short while but not a long journey (not for my baby anyway). Another thing to think about is the weight of a buggy like the icandy with extra seat. Side by sides are lighter and easier to manoeuvre which would be easier for longer walks. I tried my friends Uppababy with additional seat and found it very heavy.

Most double buggies only allow a sibling 15kg in double mode or 25kg in single.. i have an iCandy peach which can be used as either a single or double by simply configuring the seats
