Cyst found at early scan?

Has anyone else had an ovarian cyst? I'm terrified 😕

I have, and mine was pretty big. Is there something you are specifically worried about? They often go away by themselves. Try not to worry too much

I had quite a few found when pregnant. They're perfectly normal and harmless. You've probably had it/them for years. They come and go on their own usually. If they were of any concern you would most likely know about it. It will have been noted to check on it/them at your next scan.

I've had a number of scans for varying things over the years and always found cysts. They're very common.

They said it was a simple 55mm cyst....no one seemed worried and said simple was good, scared of cancer 😳

Cysts like this tend to come and go. By the time you have your baby it may well have disappeared

Was it a corpus lutium cyst (nay have spelt thay wrong) I was worried when they mentioned this at my 8 week scan but after googling this is totally normal and is to do with the ovary releasing an egg. They then usually shrink and are gone or nearly gone by 12 week scan.

Not unusual in early pregnancy, I was told.
the biggest I had was 5.8cm and was painful (they do need an eye kept on them as they can twist and cause problems. I was told they might operate on it if it got bigger or the pain got worse, but it had got quite a bit smaller when they scanned it again a week later.

Yep I had one. Went away on its own. Quite normal and usually harmless. They're more common than you'd think but no one really talks about it

I had an 8cm cyst discovered at my 12 week scan, it didn't resolve on its own and I had it removed via a laparotomy when my baby was 10 months old.

I also had a cyst found at my 12 week scan measuring 8cm. It was all gone by my 20 week scan. I was relieved as I had previously had one that needed removing as it was a stubborn bugger which didn't want to go.
