Please help. Waiting for a rransvaginal scan. Are they awful?

Not if you can try to relax, I had one last year and it wasn't as bad as expected. Got another next week. Good luck!

No they aren't. I found a smear worse.
Some lubricant on the dildo cam wand and then little pressure.

No I had 4 and they are absolutely fine. Try and stay relaxed, unless you have any other issues you should be ok. The nice thing is that you get to have a wee beforehand and you don't have them pressing an ultrasound wand on a very full bladder! Just check when you get there though before you actually have a wee, they usually tried abdominal first with me before going to TV. What is it that worries you?

No I really found it ok, as the previous poster said it's much easier than a smear test.

If you can get pregnant, you can manage a internal. They are a little uncomfortable if they need to "dig" around (my ovary is hard for them to see, sits back a bit) but honestly they are fine xxx

No I had one and couldn't really feel anything they're not bad at all just relax

I got very used to these in ivf! They are fine :) just relax when they put the scanner in otherwise it will be uncomfy and make sure you have empty bladder

It doesn't hurt, it only goes in a little way, nothing like as far as a speculum. The worst bit is it feels cold but that's it.

I was in a right state before mine and it was fine, honestly

I was so so worried about this, felt sick with panic and shaky. It is actually fine! The probe is very slim and 'well lubed' - it didn't hurt at all and I wouldn't even say it was uncomfortable. They dont use a speculum like they do with a smear, which I think is the worst bit! I get very worked up and nervous about smears but this was nothing to fret about in comparison.

No, absolutely fine. The bit that actually goes inside is tiny, much smaller than a speculum x

Have had many internal scans, they don't hurt at all. It's a bit cold due to the lube but that's it. Good luck

Ok, so, pregnancy isn't ectopic, it's where it should be. My date from LMP is 6 weeks 6 days. From ovulation i should be 5 weeks 4 days. (I got positive opk on 14th, so this is guessing I ovulated on 16th) Scan shows sac measuring 5.3mm - she said just under 5 weeks 😕 with a yolk sac. No embryo yet so rescanning in 7 days. Pain was caused by a cyst on my ovary. I'm worried now 🙁😳

Yolk nothing else at approximately 5.5 weeks but they thought I was a week behind. Did they take your blood for HGC?

I went back in two days, my levels all doubled and the sac showed on a abdominal scan but nothing else.

One week later the fetal pole etc was all showing and they measured me in line with my dates.

I got a private scan at 8.5 weeks and I measured more like 9 weeks.

Baby beans are funny things and all grow differently. Xxxx
