Symptoms of labour but not pregnant

Hello all
After having DD2 11 months ago, I had the coil fitted when she was 2 months old, so around 9 months ago from now
I had a few worries at the beginning with pregnancy symptoms but several tests over a few weeks came back negative so I put it to the back of my mind.
I had a lot of watery discharge during the night last night and after I'd been to the loo this morning walking back to the bedroom I had some water running down my legs.
I don't have any problems holding my bladder and I'd only just emptied my bladder anyway.
I've had to wear a pantyliner today and changed it twice already.
I've had stomach ache all day, like period pains low down but they don't come and go it's just a constant ache. I haven't had a period since before I had the coil fitted.
I don't think I'm pregnant but I'm a big lady anyway so I'm wondering if I'd even notice anymore.
Has anyone experienced this before feeling like waters have broken without being pregnant? It's not gushing waters like I've experienced before though so I don't know what it is 🙁

I think I'd get an emergency appointment with your GP today. Have you done a pregnancy test more recently? Hope you are ok.

CryingShame · 08/05/2017 13:12

Bumping this for you. Can you get a GP appointment today?

FilledSoda · 08/05/2017 13:15

You need a doctors appt today, failing that A&E

Mummyhug · 08/05/2017 13:16

I feel really silly thinking it might be labour it's probably nothing, gp will think I'm being ridiculous :-/

Its not silly ! It happens ! You need a GP appt asap !!

Goodasgoldilox · 08/05/2017 13:19

We can tell you that it hasn't happened to us - but you need to see a doctor to find out if it is important.

( It may not be pregnancy - you might have an infection. There are probably other possibilities too. )

ExplodedCloud · 08/05/2017 13:21

Well at the very least you have something going on, if you've got fluid running down your legs, that merits an emergency appointment!

Iambubbles86 · 08/05/2017 13:22

There's a thread in classics where a woman didn't know she was pregnant and asked what else looks like a mucus plug, then went into full labor that night

Rockspin · 08/05/2017 13:23

Oh gosh OP definitely get yourself checked out asap, GP/A&E or call 111 and ask for advice on where best to go. I expect it's pretty scary so here's a hand to hold!

MrsMozart · 08/05/2017 13:25

Pop off to the GP now lass.

SunsetGrigio · 08/05/2017 13:28

Call your GP!

Primaryteach87 · 08/05/2017 13:30

If not pregnancy then will probably be an infection. Go get it sorted! X

Funnyonion17 · 08/05/2017 13:30

This does happen, happened to my neighbour. I would goto doctors asap. U don't have to say u think your in labour, just explain what's happened.

Gunpowder · 08/05/2017 13:47

You aren't silly at all! I know an a&e doctor and she says women of childbearing age presenting with abdominal pain are assumed to be pregnant until proven otherwise, even if they have been using contraception. It does fail. Anyway even if it's something else you need to have it checked.

Mummyhug · 08/05/2017 13:49

Doctors are full on emergency appointments today, called 111 and explained what's going on (without saying I'm paranoid that I might be pregnant) a doctor called me back and they're not overly concerned, stomach ache could just be signs of the start of a period after not having one for so long because of the coil or a water infection. Got to drop a water sample at my doctors in case of water infection and go to a&e if anything changes or gets worse. Phew!
