Even though the scans were all normal.. anyone else has this? How do you deal with it?

I think pretty much everyone has this. Is this your first pregnancy? If so, this is the beginning of motherhood - wanting more than anything for your child to be 'okay', and having to deal with the anxiety around the fact that you can't guarantee that will be the case. It changes after they're born and as they grow up, but it doesn't go away!

If the thoughts are stopping you from enjoying your life, though, or if you're unable to sleep at night for worrying or feel physical symptoms of stress over it, then your anxiety may be at a level where you'd benefit from talking to your GP about strategies to manage it.

If the scans were all normal, chances are that all will be well. And if all isn't well, you will love your baby all the same and will handle it. Wishing you the best Flowers.

My mantra this pregnancy has been que sera. I've been worried about so many things but birth defects weren't one of them. You have no control over what's happening in there so there's no point worrying about it. Its out of your hands. It's easier said than done but with practice it actually gets just as easy to do. Good luck and congratulations on your pregnancy!
