Im 38+4 well will be in like 25 mins. My question is has anyone had period type craps and keep getting the dying need for the toilet?

Like suffering from IBS symptoms where you know you need to go and need to go now.

Im actually worried about leaving house tomorrow in case i get caught short.

I don't think its a bug as i don't feel ill and its not diarrhoea (sorry tmi) and neither dh or dd have funny stomachs. I'm just slightly worrying if this is normal or if i should be worried about this?

Thanks xx

Could it be a sign of labour? Occasionally women have an upset stomach because the body tries to get rid of everything before birth. Also, I had a night of sitting on the loo with really bad 'upset tummy' type pains. It turned out I was in labour and those pains were contractions!

Thanks 2 ducks, it did cross my mind but i didn't want to ring hospital or anything for something that could be ligament pain, for example. And im a really scared lol not of the pain/labour/birth just the thought... Ooh shit its happening type thing. And cos i have a section booked for Friday.

With my last labour i had pains in my back and just needed to wee so i think I've been waiting for them kind of signs/symptoms to come for me to believe its labour.

I'll see if i can get some rest then ring triage in morning, even if to just get them to look me over, and tell me all's good.

Thanks for replying xx

I'm 38+3 and have been having quite strong period type pain some days. Not every day, just some random days. I asked my MW and she said it's totally normal at this stage.

I'm generally more achey at the moment. And BH is a bit more uncomfortable.

As for the toilet question. I suffered from constipation really badly but it's been good few weeks now since I have no problems at all. And yes, I have the same if I have to go, I have to go now.
Sorry for TMI. It's not exactly diarrhoea but it's somewhat very close.
Again, it's been like that for a few weeks.

So not very exciting symptoms here. But who knows it might be for you.

Fingers crossed.

Xxx

Thanks, im happy to wait until Friday, (i still have tons i need to do) I have had two premmies so this is the furthest I've ever gotten so to me all this is new, and very scary not knowing what's normal and what's to worry about, all the doctor keeps saying is any change I've got to go straight in, but after the 3rd time i just felt/feel like im wasting their time if its not labour.

I said next time i end up in delivery unit i am not leaving without my baby lol

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy xx

That in hindsight for me was one of my only signs of (precipitate preemie) labour. Please don't feel like you waste anyone's time. Good luck!
