Got my first BFP this morning! We've been trying since November and I was starting to think it would never happen. I'm 5 weeks exactly today going by last AF, so it looks like my due date will be early Jan 2018.
I couldn't believe it when I saw the line on the stick, have also done a clear blue digital one which shows conception was 2-3 weeks ago.
I'm excited and worried and feeling very alone as don't want to tell people this early but really want someone to talk to who has experienced this or who is going through this. DH obviously knows and is over the moon.
Is there anyone else here who it 5 weeks ish?
I don't even know if I'm supposed to tell the doctor yet! Aahh help!

Hi everyone Smile, I'm having a new year baby too! I'm 5+4 today and am having my booking in app with the midwife on the 8/6. This is my first so it's very exciting. I had quite a lot of cramping pain in week 4 but that's eased off now and I'm just left with the bloating and indigestion, but it's not as bad this week as it was last week. I'm not very good with keeping secrets but haven't told anyone (other than my OH) yet. We were trying for over 2 years so fingers crossed it all goes well. I have my fingers crossed for all the ladies who are having scans that it's all ok. Thinking of you.

Kitcaty · 17/05/2017 07:55

Hi Jazzy, congratulations. I have my booking apt on 8th June also.

Jazzy you're the same as me, 5+4! How are you feeling? I'm always tired and always hungry!!!

Kitcaty · 17/05/2017 11:33

Presh, last week I was so hungry all the time. This week my appitite has completely gone and I'm having to force myself to each. It's not that I feel sick but the thought of food is yuck lol it's hard to explain

Hope everyone is ok x had my emergency scan today and my little bean is ok and heartbeat was flickering away! I have a very large cyst though but they said that it should disappear at around 12 weeks, anyone else been told the same? X

New year baby!
Jazzysunshine · 17/05/2017 13:04

Ah so we must have the same due date then Presh! And kitcaty we have the same scan date! Eeeek how exciting. So nice to share our news as I can't share with anyone else yet.

I've been so tired I'd be worried I was ill if I wasn't pregnant. Haha. My sleep is totally messed up too and I'm needing lots of naps. I work shifts and the nights I've done have been awful.

I was pretty hungry at four weeks but not so much now at 5.

Glad the scan news was good! Smile

Presh1234 · 17/05/2017 13:09

Kitcaty, Jazz I just booked mine today for 12 June! By then I'll be 9 weeks 2 days! I'm a bit concerned though as I'm considered high risk because a) I'm 38 and b) I've a past history of dvt and was told I'd need closely
Monitored. Do you think I should be seen before 9 weeks?

Whereland · 17/05/2017 13:12

I also had a cyst visible at the 6 week scan but was told not to worry about it and that it would disappear itself. I'm currently 6+5, I'm feeling quite tired and have the odd cramp/twinge but nothing much else!

Cupcakey · 17/05/2017 15:06

Great news Hannah :-) so pleased to hear. xx

winsones · 17/05/2017 15:07

Congratulations! I'm due on 18th Jan 2018 (going on LMP).

Is there a January FB group set up?

Jazzysunshine · 17/05/2017 16:06

I don't know Presh, I thought they booked everyone in at 8-10 weeks. But if you're not sure I'd ring your gp surgery and ask some advice.

@winsones I don't know if anyone has set up a Facebook group? Yay for your due date, a few days after mine Smile

Presh1234 · 17/05/2017 16:33

Jazz I'm not in UK though. Originally yes, but now live in UAE and things are all done so differently here.

Hotpinkangel19 · 17/05/2017 17:05

@Hannahbanana1725 How far are you? Did they tell you at the scan? I had my rescan today (had one last week and saw sac and yolk, today I saw fetal pole and heartbeat! Still measuring behind though. They saw a cyst on my right ovary last week, and 7 days later it's got smaller xx

rachy22 · 18/05/2017 08:05

@Hotpinkangel19 That's so reassuring! Hoping I will be able to see the same at the second scan next week

@Jazzysunshine Welcome and congrats

Kitcaty · 19/05/2017 18:02

I had an early scan yesterday and saw the sack and yolk but no fetal pole yet so it looks like I'm earlier than I thought. Well hopefully I'm just early and its nothing to worry about. My blood levels are over 31,000 which is good apparently but I've nothing to compare to. Has anyone else had bloods taken?
Also, the nausea has started and eating is awful:(

OP posts:
Cupcakey · 20/05/2017 08:52

Kitcaty im much in the same boat my bloods last weekend were over 1400 at that point think they are meant to double so if I'm progressing well they should be similar to yours now. Think it just gives them an indicator of how things are progressing. I'm due back Weds for the follow up scan to see if I've progressed. Fingers crossed for us both it's such a worry xxx

Cupcakey · 20/05/2017 08:55

Also forgot to mention im feeling sickly and have to eat to get rid of it but it seems more frequent. My boobs have grown and are so sore to the point I can't wait to fling my bra off when I get home ha ha! x

Jazzysunshine · 20/05/2017 09:39

@cupcakey I think we might all need a trip for some new bras soon!! I've got my fingers crossed for your repeat bloods next week.

@kitcaty I'm glad the scan went well Smile

Hope everyone else is feeling good this weekend or making the most of the hours in between feeling tired or sick!

I'm off work now for two weeks so I'll probably tell my boss when I go back as I'll be 8 weeks. Anyone else told work yet?

Whereland · 20/05/2017 10:14

I have only had one ten second bout of nausea and nothing since.. definitely very tired in the evenings though.
I'll be 13 weeks when I tell work. Im on holidays in June so I'll miss my 12 week scan so it will be 13 weeks by the time I have it, I plan on telling my managers at that stage. We're telling our families at 9 weeks and I worry that that's a bit early sometimes!!

Cupcakey · 24/05/2017 21:30

Just a little update scan went well we saw a little heart beat :-) I'm measuring 7 weeks, they can see a cyst on my left ovary but they were not too concerned, could see a patch of bleeding which seems to have sorted itself out but I may still pass the blood or body may absorb it. They told me not to worry unless heavy bleeding/ clots/ cramping etc. Was a relief to finally get to the scan day, I went expecting the worst and feel very relieved to have overcome this hurdle. Hope everyone is ok. xxxx
Nausea is getting worse I have to eat as soon as I feel it come over me and that seems to ease it.

Jazzysunshine · 25/05/2017 08:53

@cupcakey that's great news SmileSmile

KimmySchmidt1 · 25/05/2017 13:24

I'm 5-6 weeks! Just found out last night. I feel similarly frustrated at being excited but not wanting to tell anyone too soon. My hus obviously knows. We had been trying since March so very pleased (I'm 36). But obviously it's very early days so I'm not counting my chickens.

Kitcaty · 25/05/2017 13:30

Great news cupcakey :). I have another scan booked for next Wednesday and really hope to see heart beat.
Welcome and congrats kimmy!
I had 3/4 days of bad nausea but have now learnt that if I eat something small every two hours I feel ok

OP posts:
Jazzysunshine · 25/05/2017 13:46

Hi Kimmy, congratulations!! Fabulous news. Fingers crossed Kitcaty for a good scan result. I want one (and 12 weeks seems so far away!) I might persuade my husband we should have a private early one to see what's going on. Grin

I'm in France for a wedding and it's so hard...no pate, no cured cold meats, no soft cheese, no champagne! Ahhhhhh. Still am enjoying the weather and the sights! And there's always bread, crossiants and beautiful cakes.

Whereland · 26/05/2017 09:16

Great to hear of all the positive scans!
Just had my 8 week scan this morning. Saw the little head, limbs forming and the heartbeat pumping away- have to admit I shed a tear. It's so amazing to see, especially after two long years of trying and heartache. Hope everyone is well 😊
