Being pregnant with Gastroschisis

Hello all :)

I'm planning to start TTC this month (when my cycle resets, had problems in the last two months after starting pre-conception vitamins). I was born with gastroschisis and I don't know how this is going to affect my pregnancy at all!

I've googled this high and low, but I'm only finding resources for mothers carrying babies who will be born with gastroschisis. I've also asked my GP who knows nothing about gastroschisis (it is rare-ish), and I've phoned the hospital for an appointment with my surgeon/doctor and have been issued an appointment for September! By which point I will hopefully be four months pregnant at the most :( So not much help.

Does anyone know anything about this and is willing to offer their two-cents? I know it's not official medical advice but even hearing from someone born with gastroschisis who successfully carried a baby would be great!

Thanks x
