Only have the one, so can't give you any stories, but would like to say "Congratulations"!

fryalot · 13/03/2007 19:00

mine are 14 months apart.

The first few months are difficult, but after that...... it's great Haven't got much time right now, but if you want to cat me, I can go into more detail.

hertsnessex · 13/03/2007 19:02

congrats!!!

Mine are 11mths apart. i wont lie and say its easy, but its far from the end of the world! mine are now 2 and 3 and play wonderfully together, are very close and yet very different personalities.

everyday gets easier and you will manage, especially if you have great family/friends around.

It's your own fault for having sex again - NEVER tell the DHs who sneakily read this that it's possible so soon
On a serious note, I had a friend whose DC's were 13 months apart and she got a 3-wheel double buggy and did a lot of finger food with the older one while bf the wee one to save on washing up if nothing else.
And really try to get any sleep issues sorted before the baby is born!
And congratulations!

Thanks ladies - need to hear its not the end of the world!!
It took us over a year to get pregnant the first time that I never imagined we would get pregnant this fast !!

Sqonk - thanks, very kind I might take you up on that offer.

Our family live 200 miles away but think I will be pleading with them to move in for the first couple of months of the new arrival!

Congratulations Bella, mine are 11months apart. It's hard work but I bet it wont be anywhere near as bad as you imagine.

My 2 dds are 2.5 and 3.5 and are partners in crime . They are two totally different characters but are devoted to each other (in amongst the fighting that is!)

I'm guessing you were always going to have another, and a short gap between them has many pros. Good luck

funnypeculiar · 13/03/2007 19:11

MIne aren't as close as yours will be, but I think there's a lot of truth in that 'no such thing as a perfect gap' thing.
Good luck & CONGRATULATIONS!

kittywaitsfornumber6 · 13/03/2007 19:13

my first 2 are that gap as will be the last 2. It is hard work that cannot be denied, however there are big advantages to having them that close, just haven't come across them yet .

searching for [admiration] icon for kitty!

My mum got pregnant with me TWO WEEKS post partum, so you are a bit of a slowcoach!!!!

Only kidding, well done you, it'll be fine. Just take out shares in your chosen nappy supplier and think of it this way, in two years, the worst bits will be over and you'll have two little sociable creatures in your life. Much worse to have a toddler having tantrums and be pregnant.

kathrynharriet · 13/03/2007 22:11

Hi Bella23, Congratulations! My DD was born 3 days before my DS' 1st birthday! It was fine they are now 2 and 1, and great fun. I am 17 weeks pg at the mo! So can't have been that bad! Good luck, just learn to nap whenever you get the chance!

hertsnessex · 13/03/2007 22:57

agree with the napping!!!

i was preg with no.3 and there would have been an 18mth gap between ds2 and no.3, so as kathryn said, it coulndt have been that bad!!

Nemo2007 · 13/03/2007 23:05

Hi bella huge congrates and hooray for a little sibling for T. It really really isnt as bad as you think it will be. I was petrified about the gap but it is great. There are 12mths between the girls and can honestly say the gap has been easier than the one between Ds and H. Try not to worry too much about it and it will be great.
