6 week scan what will I see??

Hi everyone

I've had a terrible week a doctor has led me to believe I'm miscarrying but after some blood tests at an early pregnancy unit they have said the doctor is wrong to say that and my blood levels are healthy. I've been having brownish discharge for a couple of days now so I'm in for my first scan tomorrow at just over 6 weeks

What should I see?? I'm really scared but curious

Hopefully your scan goes well tomorrow.
You should see a fetal pole, yolk sac, and possibly a heartbeat.

It had a scan at 6+4, they saw the pregnancy sack and fetal poke with heartbeat. Sonographer did say that it was right on the cusp of when they'd expect to see a heartbeat so warned me there might not be one.

Just a warning, it will probably be an internal scan, as they can't see much otherwise. It's fine but just so you're prepared!

It hasn't quite moved down into the sac by that point hence why it looks like a kidney bean! 😂
I'm 27 weeks today ☺️. Due 2nd August.

Little sac. Saw the heartbeat as a little flicker on the screen.

I had to go for early scans as it was suspected I had an ectopic pregnancy. All turned out well in the end.

I had an early scan yesterday at 6 +1 and saw the sac, fetal pole and a tiny heartbeat. Really hope yours has a positive outcome. Best of luck!

Mine at 6+4, saw a little heartbeat

Was at my friends 20week scan as her support friend in the morning and was due for an emergency scan that afternoon as I had stated bleeding that morning. They amazingly said to me after my friend was scanned to hop on the couch and they checked then and there. I was 5w+6d and saw a tiny bean and flickering heartbeat even that early so all was okay - I had miscarried 3 months before so they weren't taking any chances. This was 13 years ago now. That first scan pic is my absolute favourite as it was wonderful hope after a traumatic few months.

That had to do an internal check though so to be prepared.

Having similar here hanna. Brown discharge/bleeding past two days. Scanned at EPU today at 5+3, saw sac and tiny (1.7mm) foetus. No HB yet. No blood test were offered so don't know if HCG levels are rising. Have to go back in two weeks to rescan and just hoping the bleeding stops.

Good luck hanna. Tomorrows the day for me. Really nervous as well. Several mcs and a failed IVF then a natural BFP just as I'm about to start next IVF. woke up today full of the cold.

If I get to tomorrow it will be my first scan as I have always mc previously before the date. So scared....

My mum was saying just yesterday that pregnancy is so scary and frustrating at times. I completely agree I've never felt scared like this before!

I'm sure all will be okay and you will be looking at a little bean tomorrow on the screen :)

My 6wk scan showed a tiny little blob with a heartbeat flickering on the screen. Good luck with yours.

Had our scan today! We had a little sack with a yolk in it. She said she thinks we are a couple of days earlier than expected so almost 6 weeks. She thinks if I had the scan on Monday there may have been a heartbeat. We saw our little bubble :)
They said it has attached where it should be and just need to see the progress.

We have a scan again in 2 weeks so more near 8 weeks by then. Hopefully see how it progresses and fingers crossed our little bean is well thanks everyone for keeping me sane and sharing your lovely scan pictures and storied

Just so you know, I hadn't written anything mean in my deleted post. I just realised that my scan pic had my full name and dob on it. Then baby woke up and I forgot to crop and repost.

Aww it's okay thankyou how old is your little one?

7 months now. Crawling, eating proper food and has 2 teeth. I just can't believe how big by tiny baby is.
It's a massive cliche but they grow up so very quickly. Make sure you enjoy your little one is while they are little!
