Bumping your bump

Hey ladies, i'm almost 21 weeks with my first, and now that my bump is popping out considerably, i've been accidently bumping into things left right and center, sometimes quite hard that it hurts for a few minutes. Mostly tables and kitchen counters! My guess would be the little bub is well cushioned in there and it's nothing to worry about, but could do with hearing it from actual mums! Thx x

Snap I do it all the time, I'm 23 weeks and massive, I kept knocking and bumping into things and when I'm cooking I cannot reach the hobs.

I am enjoying resting mugs and things on my bump though !!

I did it with my first baby and she was totally fine, your right they are well cushioned in that bump !!

With my previous one i reached up and across to get a mug out the cupboard and leant my bump on the boiling kettle Confused All fine but i did feel like a total wally. They do have lots of cushioning in there, don't worry.

I'm currently 30w and the middle of my bump is numb (right where it sticks out the most) and I'm always knocking it into things. Baby is fine and as pps have said, well cushioned. I poke her constantly to make her move anyway so I'm pretty sure she's used to it

Thank you all for sharing! It's so helpful to just get the reassurance with these things, you can worry so much about protecting your belly and baby, but i guess that's only natural

Mine is already being beaten up by his or her older brother Hmm they are pretty well protected in there, especially at your gestation.

I nearly took my grandfather in law out with mine at 22 weeks.
I tried to squeeze between the table and the wall and hit him hard in the head with it. Dd is absolutely fine!
