Does anyone have one, or something similar? We love this but it's a bit heavy so a Moses basket is still on the possible list. Just wondering your thoughts etc.

We had one for DS and he slept in it until he was 7m old. A Moses basket would have lasted about six weeks.

It is heavy, we never moved it off the base. He slept in it beside our bed and then in a sleepyhead during the day downstairs.

A sleepyhead? What's that?

Where did you put the sleepyhead when downstairs?

welshweasel · 01/05/2017 21:40

Yes we had a snuzpod and a sleepyhead. The sleepyhead was amazing. Used it for all naps in the day. Just put it wherever we were so sofa/table/floor. Great for when we went away for the weekend/on holiday as didn't need to take a travel cot, just the sleepyhead. At night we would carry him up asleep in it and place the sleepyhead in the snuzpod by the bed. Stayed in the snuzpod til he went into his own room at 7 months (average sized baby).

We went for the Snuzpod for night and sleepyhead for day combo too. Worked perfectly and she was comfortable in the Snuzpod until going into her own room at 7 months.

I have both and expecting baby no 1 in the next couple of weeks. So it's ok to just put the sleepyhead on the sofa etc and that's comfy enough? Was wondering about getting a Moses basket for downstairs in the daytime as don't want to be lugging the snuzpod up and down.

welshweasel · 01/05/2017 22:00

The sleepyhead is perfect on its own. You really wouldn't need anything else.

Jupitertomars · 01/05/2017 22:03

I also had snuzpod and sleepyhead combo. Would highly recommend it. Only slight issue was, when I first bought the snuzpod I imagined just reaching over and breastfeeding the baby, but due to the sleepyhead I had to lift her out of it so it wasnt as easy as I initially thought.

Sleepyhead and heavy cot with the side off, wedged tight against my side of the bed, worked really well for us. Also Cocoonababy for day naps till about 3 months.

LillyLollyLandy · 01/05/2017 22:15

Sleepyhead and Snuzpod here too - both bought for baby #3, who has turned out to be the best sleeper of the 3. She's only 16 weeks so plenty of time for it to go wrong I know, but I'll happily take 11.5 hours a night while I'm getting it!

Bellaposy · 01/05/2017 22:16

We had one for DD now 11 months old and she was in it until about 7 months. We loved it and will definitely reuse should we have another.

welshweasel · 01/05/2017 22:16

Yes actually, if I had my time again I think I'd have just wedged the cot up against my bed with a side off and used the sleepyhead in that. The snuzpod was nice but actually not essentially with the sleepyhead. Can you tell I loved my sleepyhead?! Hands down the best bit of baby equipment I bought. Along with the Ikea high chair!

OnNaturesCourse · 01/05/2017 22:16

Thank you, will look into the sleepyhead... I'm in a flat so I don't have stairs but room is tight so with the snozpod being heavy and the room I am looking into something for the living room too xx
