Undet pressure

I am currently 20 weeks with my first baby. I will be having my scan tomorrow and finding out the gender. My whole family and all of my dhs family want us to have a girl. Its all anyone has talked about. Dh is also convinced we are having a girl. My mum talks about all the girly things you can buy. She has eight grandsons and no granddaughters so it would be a big deal for her. I just feel very under pressure even though I have no control over it. Like its going to be a big disappointment for everyone if I do have a boy.
Just want to add that I have no preference for gender, I'm just hoping that everything is OK as I have felt pretty normal for the last few weeks and have still not felt baby move Sad

No advice but I'm in a similar situation. I already have a DD, and there and lots of other girls in the family and no boys. DH is desperate for this one to be a boy seeing as it'll be our last baby. I know he will adore a girl, as he does our DD, but will be sad that he'll never have a son. It's a lot of pressure! We're not finding out though so will see what happens at the birth!

Good luck! I'm sure if it's a boy everyone will deal with that quickly. I'd feel a little sorry for a girl, so much pressure to conform to a girly stereotype that may not be her preference.

I am sorry you feel this pressure. I am sure that everyone will love your baby, boy or girl. One more day to find out the gender. Everyone will have enough time to adjust to the idea of having a boy, if you have a boy. As you said, what matters is to have a healthy baby!
