Can anyone recommend a nasal spray decongestant that is safe to use during pregnancy please? I'm getting a stuffy blocked nose most mornings causing pressure headaches but I know most things are unsafe to use that I have found! Thanks

Hi dede
I am in the same boat as you? I was thinking of asking the pharmacist in boots just to be sure, it will be the weekend again before I get there though, so that's why I will tag on here to see if anyone has recommendations. I know most antihistamines and nasal sprays are a no no. I am so glad you said about the headaches though, my head has been killing me all week......

I think you can get saline ones (so just salt water - the kind you can use on babies)

Nielmed sinus rinse. Nothing but salt water so safe in pregnant and really effective.

Hi Dede, same problem here, I'm 31 weeks and had a stuffy nose since about week 14 and I'm on my second bottle of sterimar nasal spray. They had it in stock at my local pharmacy. It provides relief but I do have to keep using it (right before bed, sometimes wake up in the night and have to use it to get back to sleep and then in the morning).

Thanks ladies... I know @Miami81 is yours the same like a pressure headache? It's always worse in the morning when I wake up!
I will ask about that one at my pharmacy @rhodes2015 thank you
I'm also going to try a saline wash tonight before bed!
