Threatened miscarriage

I called the out of hours last night because I've found pinky brown lumpy discharge when wiping. I felt really generally unwell yesterday even spent the day at work moaning to my partner that it feels like I have an upset stomach Sad
They made me a hospital appointment straight away, The out of hours doctor said I'm either experiencing the baby implanting more or most likely miscarriage. They cant check at the moment as I'm at high risk of infection or if they put anything in there I might miscarry if I haven't already. He's signed me off work for the week and told me to stay in bed and see what happens.
They are arranging the gp to see me Tuesday and go for a scan.

I'm in bits. Has anyone had this before or came through it I'm terrified Sad

I'm sorry you're going thro this. How many weeks are you?

I had this at five weeks with my current pregnancy and I thought it was over too, I just signed offsick at work as I felt really unwell with it, the discharge lasted about three days I think was brown and stringy and only when I wiped then disappeared completely. So was implantation or just my body scaring the crap out of me.

When I was finally scanned my baby was fine, but I was prescribed progesterone pessaries, I think they also helped.

Take the leave and spend it resting as much as possible, have you got a date for an early scan?

Everything crossed for you.

I'm almost 6 weeks and terrified Sad

It's bank holiday today so they've got me in to see the doctor tomorrow and a scan will be arranged I'm so upset I want it to be okay. I feel a little better knowing you've been through it and are still okay. Hopefully it's the same Sad

Aw no, the worry is terrible! I had the same at 5 weeks with DS, went on to have a fabulous pregnancy and he's 2 this month. This pregnancy, I've had pink/brown spotting on and off from weeks 6-11, and a tiny amount yesterday at 12+1. I had a red bleed at 11 weeks. Have my scan on Wednesday but I'm confident it's just down to thrush and/or a sensitive cervix! Around 6 and 8 weeks I used thrush pessaries and they cleared things up. I saw the heartbeat at 6, 7 and 8 weeks, it was a scan through the stomach even at 6 weeks, not a vaginal scan, so maybe you could see if you can get a private scan if you're at risk of infection from a vaginal scan?

I'm so sorry you are having this stress.
My "threatened miscarriage" is now 2 year old DC.

Like you, I started with bleeding. Mine was pouring out heavy abd red. A scan showed a bleed in the womb called a subchorionic hematoma. I've bled with other dcs from cervical erosion-again harmless but scary.

It's not all worst case, but I know how worrying it is.

Good luck

Thank you, you have all calmed me down a little it's just so scary the doctor seemed sure it's a miscarriage and said it will be a tough week but I've got to wait it out Sad
