Best time to contact midwives?

Got my BFP yesterday and I'm 4+2 from LMP. Unsure when to contact midwife/doctor? I know your booking in is generally from 8 weeks but I'll be sunning myself in Turkey when I'm 8 weeks 🙈 When did you contact your midwife?xx

I went to gp and receptionist worked out when I'd be 8 weeks and made my appointment for me x

I called my gp to ask for a referral to the midwives at 6/7 weeks. They sent my details off and the midwife got in touch when they had an appointment free which ended up being 9 weeks but we had a chat on the phone first. 9/10 weeks seems to be the norm here.
