I wonder if any of you out there could give me a little bit of advice as I need to pick your brains!!! 8 Months ago I had a beautiful baby girl. I had a normal pregnancy which resulted in an emergency c section as at 10cm dialated she turned her head and got stuck! But apart from this everything was usual. I went back on to the pill after 6 weeks and have had regular periods ever since, however a few days ago I felt what I would describe as a small kick in my belly. I though it was odd and put it down to wind(sorry) and carried on as usual but now the "butterfly" feelings and kicking feelings seem to be getting more frequent. I am now 2 days late for this period and am increasing getting worried! I think i may be going a tad doolallie! Is it possible to have normal periods and be pregnant? I think for me personally its a bit soon to be having another baby but don't know if I'm worrying over nothing? Please help me!

I had that as well, at a slightly later stage. God knows what it was, but it wasn't a baby! It does seem a bit unusual to be late for a period when on the pill though?

You're worrying over nothing, IMO.

It's probably wind bubbles. Honestly. I get it, there have been threads about it before and it's very common.

Oh I get fluttering feelings in my tummy all the time. It makes me realise when I was counting kicks, I was getting it all wrong!

Once, when early on in my last pregnancy, I also dreamt (?) that the baby was turning over and the lurch in my stomach was enough to wake me up. It felt like a full term baby, trying to turn over, but I was only about half way through the pregnancy. That was definitely very weird.

I used to get phantom kicks all the time after dd was born, and probably will do after this one. Sure it's nothing to worry about

I had exactly the same thing too! I could even SEE movements just below my belly button every now and then. I was also on the pill, but went out and got a pg test straight away as I was so freaked out! I showed DP and he agreed he could see movement. Pg test negative, and a baby never appeared, and after a couple of months, the movements stopped, so it must just have been either wind or gut contractions. I guess after having a baby, you can feel and see movement in your gut much more easily than before as muscles are "looser".

There has been loads of threads about this

I started one when my ds was young (he's nearly 5 now) I even did some tests as I was so convinced it was a baby kicking!

Not sure what it is, but because we know what a baby kick feels like that's what we think it is IYKWIM!
