Hello. I managed to get a dose of food poisoning over the weekend Not quite sure how, but my partner's been lurgied too. Am 18 weeks and went to the docs this morning, who told me not to worry unless I had bleeding. She listened to the baby's heartbeat (which was brilliant - so thrilling to hear it for the first time) and said I'd be fine, but now I'm worrying that it might be listeria. I've had vomiting and the runs, but generally feeling okay.

Anyone else had similar and should I be concerned?

Listeria doesn't manifest as d&v - it gives you flu-like symptoms and a fever, which is why the GP wasn't worried about it.

Stay hydrated and look after yourself - the baby will be fine but it's no fun for you being ill.
