Pica and cravings.

I have the most overwhelming desire to chew glass.

I've not had any other cravings really, other than salt, but my midwife said it's called pica, and obviously dissuaded me from doing it!

Any other weird cravings?

Sponges! I couldn't get enough of them. As soon as DS was born it stopped immediately. He loves to chew sponges himself now

With this in mind best to keep your newborn away from glass, although I'm sure that generally good advice without your cravings!

Furniture polish - everything is gleaming! (Although it was the smell, none has been eaten)
