Vaginal delivery or C Section after vaginal repair???

I've posted here for traffic (I tried in childbirth but didn't get much response)

I gave birth a year ago and the site of my episiotomy didn't heal properly, so I'm scheduled to have this all redone/repaired.

I would like to have more children but I just wondered if anyone has been in this position and whether they've opted for or been advised to have a c-section or a vaginal delivery.

Really appreciate any advice, feedback and would be grateful to hear your experiences if this has happened to you.

Thank you.

You will be offered a choice. Both are reasonable options. Just because one episiotomy broke down, doesn't mean another one would. In fact, episiotomy is rare with a second baby.
Some people would choose to delay repair until their family was complete (but obviously not the ones where it's affecting having sex).
Good luck

Thank you. Yes, it's affecting sex unfortunately so I'm going to need the procedure now Sad

I had mine re-fashioned. They advised to wait until I'd completed my family but I couldn't because if the didn't fix it I wouldn't have had any more children. There was no indication for C-section afterwards, it just healed normally, so your future birth options should be unaffected.
