Hi ladies,

A few hours ago I had a MC. It's horrible and I can't describe how sad me and my oh are! I cried the Thames River a dozen times today and my head feels like it's going to explode but now I am finally starting to feel okay.

Although it sucks, we want to believe that everything happens for a reason so maybe this just wasn't our time yet... anyone here who have been through the same and has any advice?

We of course would love to try again soon but want to know if there is anything we should take in consideration first?!

I had a scan booked for tomorrow (8weeks) so any follow up that you recommend me to do with doctors?

Many thanks in advance and I wish all the best for your pregnancies! This website is full of lovely people who gave me precious help and advice in one of my worst moments. I will always be grateful for that! ❤️

I couldn't possibly give you any advice as I've never been through what you're going through now but I just want to say I'm so sorry for what you're going through and I wish you all the best of luck xx

Hi there, I'm so sorry for your loss. It's such a hard thing to go through. I don't have a huge amount of advice as I've just gone through the same thing myself for the first time, so I'll just give you these Flowers.
I think allowing yourself time to grieve is good, sometimes I think I'm fine and then get very upset out of the blue (it was 3 weeks ago). In terms of trying again, for me personally I'm afraid I'd be stressing too much if it happened straightaway, so just taking a little break before we start again.

To op and missbel I highly recommend you google/contact the miscarriage association. They were a wonderful help to me after my last mc, I lost 3 before dd.

Please don't suffer alone there really is no need it's happened to so many of us.

And as you can see from ^ there is hope.

It won't always hurt in such a raw way as it does now. Also don't forget baby's dads. They're often forgotten and it can be a hard time for them too. Flowers

Sorry about your miscarriage. Is the 8 week scan paid for privately or NHS? Might be worth giving them a ring to see if you can cancel. My friend had (the expensive) NIFTY test booked and was able to get her money back when she miscarried.

I think of miscarriage as your body identifying that that baby wasn't meant to be. You'll never know the reasons, but something was wrong. Plenty of woman miscarry but go on to have successful pregnancies. You don't need to wait for a period before trying again, but it helps for dating. You don't need to try again until you feel ready.
