I feel so terrible with this pregnancy (5 weeks) and I feel sick from morning to night. What can I take or eat to settle my stomach. I never had this in my previous pregnancies.

I've heard that ginger is good, you could try ginger tea or ginger bickies?
No personel experiance, I was lucky with my pg only felt sick at the end and I think that was nerves!

so should you eat ginger biscuits before you get out of bed? Not sure if I can eat as soon as I wake up..

I used to nibble one but didn't help much, my sickness was pretty much all day last time and I found sipping on water (used to carry a bottle around with me) helped a lot, also ready salted crisps

A friend of mine suffered and she used to nibble on crackers, she said once she'd managed to get something in her stomach the sickness was'nt so bad.
Hopefully it will not last much longer and then you can start eating for 2

I ate my breakfast about 1/2 hour after I got up this morning, and I couldn't finsih it as I was gagging. Then I gagged when I brushed my teeth. I don't like feeling like this..

Ahh poor you Sparkly.
I have heard an old wives tale that if you feel sick a lot your going to have a little girl!?
Try some herbal ginger root tea, that might be easier than actually eating something.

I've had a right pukkie bug whilst being pregnant, and lemonade worked then. the only thing that has worked for me and the family whilst having sickies is full fat lemonade. If you have it try it, what have you got to lose. But then we are all different, maybe it's a ginger biscuit that's needed?

SparklyGothKat · 11/03/2007 00:27

I'll get some tomorrow, along with some biscuits. I'll try anything atm, hate feeling sick all day, especially when I am driving.
