Implantation bleeding

2 days ago I noticed pinky red bleeding when I wiped after going for a wee.
Doc sent me for a scan and all is ok, and baby measured 7+4. The nurse who did the scan could find no reason for it and said it was probably just implantation bleeding.
Just wondering how common this is, and how long it lasts for.
It's been happening for 2 days now, although now it seems more of a browny colour (sorry if this is TMI). It's not really heavy enough to warrant using a pant liner, but I'm just a bit worried about it.
I've got an appt with midwife on Wednesday so I'll mention it then. Just wondering if anyone else has had it.
Thanks. Eaglebird.

I had the same Eaglebird. I'm not going to tell you not to worry as it wont help but i had browny colour bleeding for a couple of days. I was convinced it was the start of a miscarriage but two emergency scans and all was fine. Like you, they told me that the only explaination could be inplantation bleeding. I now have a beautiful and very healthy 14 week old baby girl.
Good luck!

Thanks Ab.
I know that bleeding is v common, but you can't help fearing the worst, can you?
Can't wait for my dating scan, which will probably be in about 3 or 4 weeks. My health trust provides 10/11 week scans, and I know not all do, so I'm quite lucky.

I had exactly the same at 7 weeks and carried to term. I think it lasted a few days then stopped.
I read somewhere that if you bleed during pregnancy and it is brown it is OK whereas pink/bright red is bad.
Good luck

I had the same at 7 weeks and now have 9 week-old DD. I found when I told people about it that it is much more common that I had thought but that doesn't help much when it's happening to you. Good luck for your next scan!

Hiya - I had the same, brown/rusty red blood/goo for a week and a half starting at 6 weeks then again for two days bright red at 8.5 weeks. Two early scans showed heartbeat and LO is now 8 weeks old

The chances of m/c after seeing the heartbeat drop to something like 3%.

Good luck and congratulations
