When do you tell the boss?

I've just had my scan, seen everything is ok and have started to tell everyone, officially.

I work in a very small company. It's the MD, the creative director, me - the account manager, and the account exec. I've been there 8 and a bit years.

As it's my 3rd I'm starting to show already and I took the day off for the scan and he was asking the acct exec if everything was ok with me, bless him. I am fully intending on going back after the baby.

Shall I just get it over and done with and tell him now?

Yes

I'd only been working for my boss for 6 months when I fell pregnant. Small company too - he's the MD, 2 carpenters, and me. Ended up telling him before telling pil, because he kept asking if I was ok (I was only 6 weeks) He was fine with it.

Yes. I told my boss by the time I was about 8 weeks. It helped, because he knew why I looked shattered all the time (and didn't assume I was hungover), but kept it to himself.

Sooner the better IMO.
