Quick one, as I am at work. Does DH need to come to my first m/w appointment or I am expecting to go alone? Thanks!

Whichever you prefer. Congrats by the way

Doesn't have to go, but no reason not to. I've heard MWs like to see women on their own at least once in a pregnancy, but doesn't have to be the first appointment. Good luck! Prepare to pee on strips of paper!

I don't think there's any protocol on this one, its entirely up to you. I took dh along with me to be a part of things but he was a bit of a spare part because it was filling out forms etc. However, if he has a knowledge of his families medical history, it could come in handy...

either, though you do have to fill in lots of forms that will want info on him too so it might help if you are unsure on his family history (learning difficulties etc). Of course he might have questions too (dp came to my first one then left me to it apart from scans)

I've always found them pretty routine and so boring that I wouldn't want to put him through it. He did come to the booking appt with this one though, and was bored to tears, poor love. I'd say its up to you, either way is fine, as long as you are clear about his family history.

My dh wanted to go with me for my first appointment. He probably won't go to any others though. If you're not entirely sure of your dh's family medical history then it is best if he goes with you but it's really your/his choice.
