It's slightly problematic.
In that I'm epileptic and we have not been trying so I have not been taking any folic acid. (I'm on a low risk drug)
Hopefully I am only just pregnant and can start taking it now, I have asked for GP to phone me.
I don't know what to say to fiancé.
I feel sort of scared.

I took my test without my partner there and as soon as he walked in I burst out crying! He knew straight away! We were trying but that was the first month so we didn't expect it at all! I wasn't taking folic acid and to be fair I didn't take it as I suffered with terrible sickness that was triggered by vitamins! Plus with my first I didn't know I was pregnant until I was 6 months gone so most definitely didn't take anything and my little girl was born perfectly healthy! I wouldn't worry but now you know take it! Speak with thto gp they will answer any questions you may have! And again congratulations x

Don't worry just go and get some folic acid from Boots or superdrug today.

I also didn't take it until I realised I was accidentally pregnant. The folic acid decreases the chances of spina bifida but the chance is very low in the first place and the bean's spine won't have started developing yet.

I'm hoping the GP will call soon, we're not high earners, so I worry about affording it.
We have a 3 bed. Which we've been in a year. 1 room is ours, the box room is an office and the bigger second bedroom if you like, currently has the mon-fri lodger in.
The other thing is... we're getting married next month 🙈🙈

Don't worry things will work out great.
Wedding should be great, at this stage you won't need to worry about not fitting into your dress.

And what about flying?
We have a honeymoon booked to Florida in September 😭😭

Ok that's not ideal but doable. If Florida is a zika area you are not supposed to go if pregnant, but this is good because your travel insurance or possibly even the tour operator should allow you to change it to go somewhere else. Or cancel.
