Soft, comfy, PADDED, maternity/nursing bra recommendations?

I'm normally a live in push up tshirt bras type but since getting pregnant I can't abide them! Plus I seem to be ever expanding in this area

I resorted to like a padded crop top sorta thing (I'm only a 32B normally so not hug busted) which has worked well so far but obviously won't be best suited to breastfeeding later.

So can anyone recommend a good nursing bra, that I could buy now to also wear in pregnancy so I don't have to keep buying so many new flipping bras all the time?

I'm aware that I will keep changing shape so I'm looking for a pull on type I guess that isn't cup size specific.

It MUST have padded cups so I can wear it under tshirts with confidence

Can anyone recommend anything?

Am I better off looking at the cross over front nursing access ones or can you get drop down clip strap ones which are a generic S, M, L, size rather than precise cup fittings? I can't afford to keep buying new bras every month!

Currently just 20 weeks so little while to go yet but desperately need to get new bras again already.

I recommend you go to M&S, or Debenhams and get yourself properly fitted! I went yesterday as boobs feeling massive now at 16 weeks (with twins) and I've gone from a 32D, to (apparently) a 32F
Ended up getting some "Total support non-wired full cup" bras from M&S, and while these are the ugliest things I have ever laid eyes on, they are super comfy and supposed to help avoid stretch marks. I ended up with a size 34DD to give me a little room to grow into.
The lady also told me to come back two weeks before my due date to get fitted for nursing bras - hope that helps!

I got a 2 pack of maternity bras from m&s the one place I could find with my size. They are my Best Buy yet. It feels like I'm not even wearing a bra sometimes ☺️

I'm not sure padded nursing bras are a thing? I went all out and got measured at rigby and peller and bought 1 bra then she recommended 2 others for me to buy online from figleaves. Fantastic service. I've gone from a 36 back to a 44 back so i struggled to get bras and bravissimo only go up to a 40 back according to their website so i went posh and went to rigby and pellar. Previously for normal bras I've always used m&s find them much better than debenhams (always been at least a G cup for years so have to go to certain places only)

Debenhams do maternity specific bras that are amazing. They also do loads of padded non underwired ones that aren't marked as maternity but work well (not nursing, but just comfortable as anything!). I have three right now and I'm living in them. Their sales are amazing as well - I didn't spend more than £8 on any of these bras!

Try Freya (available in Debenhams and John Lewis), they're the only brand I could find on the high street that did non-wired padded bras. They aren't nursing ones but they have allowed me to go non-wired with confidence 😊

Oh, should probably have been helpful and pointed out I was already a 32E before pregnancy so when I say only high street ones I could find I meant in larger cup sizes- I was so jealous seeing how many padded non-wired ones Debenhams sell but then they only go to D cup!

Was just coming on to say the bravado seamless silk ones. Most comfy maternity bras ever, go up and down several sizes. That's all I wore from 3 months pg until I finished BF. Seriously they are the business

Also bravado tshirt bra- it's dual sized and size up- I went to 34 H/I in that 😱

I second the bravado ones (John Lewis link above) they are great and so cool against skin when breastfeeding. I'm on DC3 and these are still my favourite.

Bravado for me. Bought lots of non wired (had John Lewis fitting) after always being a wired push bra 34a during pregnancy 1. Hated them and never found one that's comfortable or flattering. Half way through pregnancy 2 and swapped to my bravado nursing bras - so much more comfortable!

I know that the general advice is to get fitted for your nursing bra 2 weeks or so before your due date but it's a bit complicated! I'm not going full term because of health complications and actually have no idea how early I will be having baby at the moment so it's difficult to plan ahead. I probably won't have two weeks notice either so trying to work around that and having someting prepared. There is also a high chance I will be hospitalised towards the end of pregnancy, which doesn't help me on the the getting measured for a bra front either and I know I'll also be stuck in for a bit afterwards for the same reason!

Next question Do you ever go back to your original bust size? I'm wondering whether to keep my current outgrown bras or just chuck em and clear out some space for the giant boulder holders ahead?

Also - how did you all find the sizing of the Bravado? I'm about a 32C/34B at present and not sure which size to go for ... Any ideas?

The seamless silk covered me from 32dd to 32H I got a small one.
My boobs are bigger than previous kids, Also if you BF it could be a while before you are back in non-nursing bras so good opportunity to chuck the old ones and buy new later imo

I saw and tried on some in H&M the other day which seemed really good for the price, they were padded. Last pregnancy/bf I had their non-padded ones and really liked them!

I got padded maternity/nursing bra from JoJo Maman Bebe. £29 for one but is super comfy and supportive.

I was told that going up in the back size is due to expanding rib cage (I've gone from 38 to 40 so far), but once baby is here rib cage will go back to normal but cup size will grow due to milk which is why they recommend getting measured again just before birth.

I like the look of the Bravado one but bra sizes are eluding me at the moment. I was a 30C pre pregnancy and currently 32D

I can't see how the small in the Bravado can fit a 36A and 32D. Surely if the band is big enough to fit 36 then it won't be supportive on 32 even on the tightest hook.

It's not wired and very stretchy material plus several rows of hooks. You would need to try it on though
