Hormone addled stupidity.....your stories please

We've just sat down to dinner and I realised that I have roasted the potatoes in Morrison's Extra Special Sicilian Lemon Curd instead of goose fat.
The jars were similar. The taste, however, is not.

OH off to the chip shop.
I feel quite possibly the most stupid I have ever felt in my entire life.

Please share your shame and prove to me I'm not alone on my little island of pregnant silliness. Shit another seven months or so to go.....

By the way I know it's April fools day but that really did happen.

No stories as funny as this but fuck ups at work... which I haven't owned up to yet

This makes me feel so much better. The other day I threw my laptop on the floor, hard. Luckily it survived. I was absentmindedly trying to chuck a stray pillow back on the bed, but instead of a pillow in my hand was the laptop. Still not totally sure how this happened.

Oh and instead of putting the milk back in the fridge after breakfast this morning, I put it in the bin.

Where has my brain gone?! Seriously starting to worry if I should be trusted with a baby at the end of all this

Lol that made me laugh.

I went to add 'washing detergent' to the shopping list on my phone earlier today.

Several hours later i discovered i had in fact just Googled 'washing detergent' instead

I forgot to take my class on a school trip that had been planned for months! 🙈Safe to say I wasn't the museums, children or parents favourite person.

I made my husband get home early to help me with Sainsbury's delivery. At 6.05pm I was huffing and puffing that It hadn't arrived and no one had told me.

Went online.. I hadn't checked it out that was a takeaway night for us!

Glad it's not just me.
Even the dog turned her nose up at the potatoes. I did wonder for a nanosecond whether they might taste nice to me, being preggers and all that. Then I thought better of it.

My silly moments have been in car parks. I did my shopping in a huge Sainsbury's and when I came out I had no idea where I parked my car. Not even a vague memory of which side of the car park. So I had to systematically push my trolley up every aisle of parking looking ridiculously confused.

Another time I did the shopping I went back to my car and got straight in the passenger seat. Sat there a few minutes, then realised i was on my own and I was the one that had to drive home!

Going out and leaving my front door wide open, came back an hour later still open , nothing was missing TG

Drove to work as normal but parked in a pay carpark rather than the works spaces as DP would be collecting the car (pay carpark to between both work places)
Left work and cried because the car wasn't in my allocated space.

Woke up got showered ready for work then realised it was 2.30am.

I made a mistake at work, only minor and didn't cost the company any money. Rang the area manager sobbing at my own stupidity. Luckily he's just had a baby so he's aware of the hormones

Phone rang at work, chatting away to college from another area. Finished conversation and had to phone her back to see what she had called for because I had forgotten!

Maternity leave can't come soon enough.

I'm sure there's many more though that I can't remember because u have a brain like a sieve at the moment.

I'm glad I'm not the only one...

I tried to wipe off my makeup with toothpaste. I don't know what I was doing.
I cried because my slipper wouldn't go on my foot. Also cried the entire time watching beauty and the beast at the cinema with my children.
Also been spilling and dropping everything I touch!
I'm only 11 weeks, another 29 weeks to go and I can imagine it will only get worse!

Driving halfway to work in my slippers. Knickers on inside out for much of the day before I noticed. I'm not a morning person at the best of times.

I hate to break it to you but it only gets worse with a newborn sleep deprivation...

Driving to the train station in the mornings and walking home forgetting the car in the evenings.

My DH coming home and asking where the car is with me convinced he had took it to work. This happened a few times!!

These are brilliant. We are collectively capable of some of the most astounding feats aren't we🙈

I am feeling heaps better about my lemon curd transgression.

With my first pregnancy I didn't have this, I did a bit with my second. I can recall putting a toilet roll down the toilet and holding the used bit still. I also bundled my son in the car to take the dog to a big park to walk her. I took poo bags and a lead but not the dog: didn't realise until walking around the park with the buggy. I spent almost three hours turning the house (and shed wtf ???) upside down looking for onions when they were on the worktop the whole time. I even rang OH at work in an important meeting to furiously accuse him of eating them all. When we went into hospital for baby #2 induction I gave them OHs name at the reception desk and then said it was my first baby.

It's definitely worse this time. Lemoncurd gate is just the start I know it. My brain seems discombobulated.

I asked my colleague where if a set of reports had been commissioned yet and if so where could I find them. He looked incredibly concerned as he informed me I commissioned them last week and had even sent them over to him! Luckily another colleague was present who has had children so she explained my "baby brain" to him as he resent the report across to me....
